Communication Experience of Nursing Students: A Simulation using Standardized Patients

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to assess the communication experiences nursing students by conducting a simulation using standardized patients and understand their essential meaning in-depth.Methods: This was conducted from May June 2022 targeted 17 third-year who were attending K University in Kangwon-do underwent mental health simulation. In-depth interview organizing focus group, outcomes analyzed Colaizzi’s phenomenological method.Results: derived four categories, namely, ‘Preoccupation situation like it’s real’, ‘Embarrassed unpredictable situation’, ‘Self-reflection on communication’ ‘The effort improve skills’.Conclusion: Based results research, there need conduct well-designed scenarios modules, provide pre-training so that can various responses. Moreover, it necessary opportunities for acquire ability own.
